General Conditions
- GUY’S OIL must be the supplier of the entire year’s heating oil to qualify for service plans. There will be a 30-day waiting period for new plans. Contracts are not refundable or prorated. Yearly oil burner service plans are transferable to new owners in the event of sale of property.
- All plans are automatically self-renewable from year to year unless either party gives 30-days prior written notice. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice.
- Because we guarantee satisfaction, we reserve the right, after inspection, to specify the type of service protection.
- Our full protection policy provides for the repair or replacement of any or all of the parts listed in this page. Not other parts of the furnace, boiler, or heating system are covered. We never hesitate to replace a part when needed, but replacement of obsolete parts cannot be guaranteed.
- Plans do not cover the cost of labor or materials for humidifiers, flue devices, electronic air cleaners, anode rods, heat distributing units (radiators, baseboard radiation, radiant, piping, ductwork, etc.), boiler block and jacket on water units or heat exchanger and jacket on warm air units, combustion chambers and chimney, water heater tank, tankless coil and gasket, thermostats, digital setbacks, automatic water feeders, buried oil lines and related expenses, water related gaskets, tempering valves and steam gauge glass adapter set, flushing boilers, draining systems or for the damage when it is caused by fire, water, or any other abnormal cause which may affect the normal operation of the equipment They do not cover the cost of switches turned off, failure to maintain boiler water at proper level, failure of low water cut-off to function or failure to keep an adequate supply of oil in tank (unless oil is being supplied under our automatic delivery service). Services and material not covered by a service polity will be charged for at our list prices.
- This agreement does not cover any type of plumbing work, such as replacement of domestic hot water heaters, complete zone valves, feed valves, and any piping. Work of this kind, when ordered, is performed at our list prices.
- This agreement does not cover parts or labor for air conditioning or power sidewall vent systems.
- We are equipped to provide service promptly, but cannot be liable for any delay or failure to supply service or material because of conditions beyond our control. In no event shall we be liable for any consequential damages or injury.
- Steam systems owners – the low water cut-off should be flushed regularly to prevent sediment from interfering with its operation. This company will not assume responsibility for the failure of this control.
- Annual maintenance work will be done Monday – Friday during normal working hours. It is the customer’s responsibility to contact Guy’s Oil to schedule the annual maintenance on their covered equipment during the contracted year.
- Telephone calls for service will be accepted 24 hours a day and service will be rendered with reasonable promptness.
- Our tank protection policy replaces your oil tank if it leaks due to internal corrosion. Tanks damaged by acts of God are not covered, and we have no responsibility for any damages including environmental, incurred by leaking oil. Environmentally safe disposal of the old tank is included. Piping updates are extra.
